This inspection is sometimes called a "Condition & Valuation" survey. It is performed so that the insurance company can determine whether or not the vessel is an acceptable risk. They are interested in structural integrity and safety with regard for the intended use of the vessel.
Most insurance companies require surveys on older boats. They will also want to know the fair market value of the vessel.
If you've received a letter from your insurance carrier asking for a SAMS/NAMS survey, then Complete Marine Surveying can fill your need, I am a SAMS® SA surveyor, fully qualified and experienced to provide this for you.
